Beanz Meanz Heinz

This weeks topic is TV advertisements from the 1970’s. After watching several compilations on YouTube of ads from the 70’s, I decided I liked this particular one the most. Watch it here.

This is one of a series of commercials where little boys say a poem about Heinz beans. They’re all pretty cute, and I particularly like their accents. I thought these were pretty creative but simple compared to other ads from this time. I liked the simple and consistent backdrop across all the ads and the use of rhyming poetry that was relevant to the child.

I think this was probably a pretty successful series of ads, seeing as they made a few of them over that decade.
